MS Readathon Ambassador – Stephen Papadopoulos Experiencing his first symptoms at the age of 16, Stephen Papadopoulos is one of our wonderful MS Readathon ambassadors. Stephen is a very popular presenter at schools around Sydney, and in 2008, he filmed a video for the MS Readathon, which we sent out to teachers to explain how the MS Readathon works. MS Australia - real-life stories In May 2009, MS Australia launched a series of new television commercials based around the real stories of two people living with the disease of multiple sclerosis. For the purpose of education and ‘cut-through’ of awareness, MS Australia has chosen to use real people telling their story about dealing with the disease to the Australian public. World MS Day – Global campaign film The first World MS Day was held on 27 May, 2009. With more than 200 events in 61 countries, World MS Day represented a coordinated global initiative to highlight the proliferation of multiple sclerosis. The global campaign film, 1000 faces of multiple sclerosis.
